Hedgelaying

Hedgerows have been part of the English landscape for hundreds of years. They have been used to enclose land and livestock and to protect the land from soil erosion and snowdrift.

Properly managed hedgerow will greately enhance the landscape and wild life value. They are predominantly hawthorn with a mix of other species such as blackthorn, dog rose, holly trees.

Northern Tree Care provide traditional hedgelaying services from planting the new hedgerows, laying the hedge with the use of coppiced stakes and construction of stockproof fencing to protect the hedge initially.

Contracts are carried out nationwide between October and April, adapting to any regional style of hedgelaying.
